Hello, I'm Bex, the founder and principal jeweller behind Venus Trine Mars.
As a child, I grew up surrounded by flowers, watching my mother arrange them in the Japanese art of Ikebana. She did this even while pregnant with me, so my strong appreciation of art, design and all things in the natural world, was passed on and meant to be.
My jewellery journey began in 2019. On a train trip across the European Alps, I stopped by a crystal shop in this Swiss mountain town of Wengen. There I discovered rose quartz, tourmaline and moonstone - crystals I love using in my jewellery today. I was so inspired on this trip that when I returned home, I learned more about gemstones and began training as a wax sculptor and metasmith.
Today I'm focused on using semi precious natural gemstones to handcraft beautiful jewellery for those who are also crystal lovers at heart. As someone with sensitive skin, I particularly wanted to create a full range of jewellery that was safe to wear for those who also struggle to find nickel free pieces.
