Jewelry and Packaging


From start to finish, each piece of jewelry is made by a real person with love and care. Each piece is delicately hand sculpted in wax, then casted, polished or soldered by hand and then hand set with unique and beautiful gemstones.

At no stage in our manufacturing process is any piece from a factory. What this means is, you can buy with absolute confidence knowing that your item of jewelry is high quality and was made by someone who was paid fairly in first world working conditions.

We value conscious consumerism so our jewelry is made in small batches to reduce environmental wastage.


Lost wax is the most ancient form of jewelry making. Using soft wax, this allows the designer to sculpt each piece, giving it many unique attributes that stands out from the typical store bought piece of jewelry. Each sculpted piece is then hand cast in solid metals such as bronze, silver or gold. Each piece is custom made and will retain the beautiful and ancient looking textures from the lost wax casting process.

The process of lost wax sculpting is an art form in itself, when compared to computer 3D printed molds used in current mass jewelry manufacturing. 


Each original design is created wax, meticulously sculpted by hand in our studio in Sydney. We have an amazing wax caster in Taiwan, a small husband and wife run business with over 40 years experience and they bring our wax moulds to life with the highest quality solid bronze and silver. The pieces are then plated in 18-20 carat gold by another family run small business in Taiwan who specialise in high quality thick gold plating.

We are a small business ourselves and both small businesses we work with to cast and plate the pieces are masters of their craft. We've intentionally chosen to work with them to ensure we have the time to bring more new original designs to you.

Finally, we hand polish, finish and set the gemstones in our studio in Australia.

All semi precious gemstones that are used are natural, conflict free and sourced from sustainable businesses. We hand pick each stone individually in small batches so each stone is guaranteed to be unique and beautiful. All earrings gold vermeil, which means they are made from pure .925 solid sterling silver with 18 carat thick gold plating by Australian industry standards.

Depending on the design, rings and pendants are solid bronze with either 18 or 20 carat thick gold plating or solid .925 pure solid silver. The higher the carat of gold, the more durable the piece - 18-20 carat gold is significantly more durable than lower carats.

All metals are sustainably sourced, nickel free and won't irritate your skin. Please check each item description for the specific materials for the product.


Hypoallergenic jewelry means different things for different businesses. Most commonly, nickel is the culprit for most jewelry allergies. Please note that "hypoallergenic" and "nickel free" are not the same thing and many brands that are described as hypoallergenic may still contain small amounts of nickel. If you have had issues with jewelry allergies in the past, the term you are looking for when purchasing jewelry is nickel free.

At Venus Trine Mars, our entire range is nickel free. We have intentionally created jewelry for those who have had issues with allergies so that you don't miss out on wearing your beautiful pieces.

Our earrings (including the posts) are made from .925 solid sterling silver and are 100% guaranteed nickel free.


Yes, the second goal of our brand (right after making beautiful jewelry!) was to find a packaging supplier that used only 100% recyclable materials.

We work with a Danish eco-friendly packaging company and use FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified and Fairtrade packaging. At no stage in the manufacturing process are toxic chemicals that are damaging to our natural world used.


To reduce environmental wastage, we've made our jewelry boxes beautiful and to the highest quality so that you can keep them to store your pieces. Our bubble mailer and mailer box also meets strict sustainability standards.

The FSC® mark you will see on your boxes is a guarantee that all materials come from an FSC® forest, where no more wood is cut down than the forest can reproduce. This means better protection of the animal - and plant life, and all foresters have proper training, safety equipment and a decent wage.

Our suppliers' FSC license number is FSC®C112509.

Shipping, Returns and Exchanges


On average, processing time will be between 1-3 working days. However, we will do our best to process your order within 24 hours so you can receive your piece as soon as possible.


We currenlty do not offer refunds or free exchanges due to change of mind purchases. For hygiene reasons, earrings are considered final sale. Please contact Kika at support@venustrinemars.com within 48 hours of receiving your item if you have any concerns once it arrives, but please note that returns or exchanges are approved in limited circumstances.   

The cost of shipping is payable by the customer and will not be refunded.

Please follow our ring size guide when you make your order. We offer half sizing so these measurements are very accurate. Our range is in US sizing. Rest assured that as long as you follow the guide you'll order the correct size.

However if the size you ordered is not right we are happy to exchange it for a new size if they size is in stock. Please note we are a small batch company so there is a chance that your size may not be in stock. In that case the ring can be exchanged for store credit. We offer free shipping on all orders but return shipping is at the expense of the customer.

We are based in NSW Australia and use Australia Post for both Domestic and International orders. 

Domestic Orders:

For orders over $100 AUD, we offer free shipping via express post. The estimated delivery time is between 1-3 business days.

Domestic orders under $100 AUD will qualify for free shipping via standard post. The estimated delivery time is between 2-6 business days.


International orders:


For orders over $100 AUD, we offer free standard shipping. The estimated delivery time is between 6-10 business days.

For orders under $100 AUD, the standard delivery fee is $10 AUD.

We also have the option of express delivery for a fee of $20 AUD.


Please note that the exact shipping time will vary depending on your location and all packages include tracking.

Deliveries outside of Australia may be subject to additional customs duties and service fees. Please check the import tax rates in your country and contact your local customs office for further information. Kindly note that Venus Trine Mars does not have any control over them as import taxes are entirely at the discretion of the border control at the country in question. These fees are payable by the customer upon arrival.

How to care for your jewelry


To lengthen the lifetime of your piece, please avoid exposing it to water. Gold and silver are precious metals and while some claim that they are safe to wear and others argue it is not, at the end of the day, when a soft metal is exposed to water, boiling water and shampoo, it can quickly tarnish and corrode.  

The above remains the same if your piece contains a semi-precious gemstone.


When it comes to silver jewelry, truthfully there is no way to completely avoid tarnish because silver reacts to many things that we come into contact with in our everyday lives.

However, the purer the amount of silver, the slower the rate of tarnish. The items we make are made from .925 silver which is the second highest level of purity after .999.

Each silver item will come with a complementary silver polishing cloth for you to use once the item eventually develops some tarnish. You can also take your silver items to your local jeweler for a polish from time to time.

To slow down the process of tarnish:

  • Wipe down your item after use.
  • Take off your item when washing hands, showering or preparing food.
  • Store your items in an air tight container. The jewelry box your item will come in will do the trick!
  • Keep your item in the complementary jewelry pouch it will arrive in :)

Like silver, solid bronze will eventually tarnish over time. However, the items we make are plated with either thick (Australian industry standards) 18 or 20 carat gold. Each item also has a protective coat over the layer of gold to keep the beautiful color long lasting.

To slow down the process of tarnish:

  • Take off your item when washing hands, showering or preparing food.
  • Store your items in an air tight container. The jewelry box your item will come in will do the trick!
  • Keep your item in the complementary jewelry pouch it will arrive in :)
